Hanoi’s exports gain new momentum
Since early January, Hanoi’s export turnover has reached $1.341 billion, up 4.1 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The groups of electric wire and cables, garment and textile, oil and gas were credited with highest growth rates while other groups of arts and handicrafts, computer spare parts and peripheral devices showed a year-by-year increase of 12-34 per cent.
Oil and gas exports hit $269 million, computer spare parts and peripheral devices fetched $245.1 million.
Hanoi’s increasing exports to the Southeast Asian and Asian regions, and the European Union (EU) over the past two months were attributed to great efforts by Vietnamese businesses in overcoming challenges.
