Spanish NGO introduces aquaculture projects
The Spanish non-governmental organisation AIDA has helped ethnic people in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang to earn a living by introducing a sustainable aquaculture project.
Under the 140,000 EUR project, which ran from November 2010 to February 2012, ethnic people in two communes and a township in the province were instructed in techniques that will enable them to breed fish in cages, produce fish food and treat diseases.
At a conference to review the project, in Na Hang district on Feb. 21, project director Le Thanh Luu said that the project will be rolled out in other communes around the reservoir that supplies the hydro-power plant in the near future.
