Vietnam’s economic growth hits record high

Vietnam has made many renovations and achieved rapid economic growth thanks to its great efforts in cushioning its economy against the global crisis, said Professor Susan Schwab, a commercial policy-maker from the US.

Professor Susan Schwab, a former US trade representative, made these remarks at a press conference held in Hanoi on Nov. 29 by the Vietnam Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Link World Unlimited International Event Group, and the National University.

During her working days in Vietnam from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, Susan Schwab will discuss ways to help Vietnamese products penetrate the US market, overcome trade barriers and settle lawsuits. She will advise local businesses on expanding their operations in the US and other key markets.

She will also spend time answering their questions about Vietnamese trademarks in the US, bilateral trade and investment, commercial laws and Vietnam’s position in US policies on Asia.

Professor Susan Schwab is scheduled to meet with representatives from the Vietnamese government on the afternoon of Nov. 30.
