Hungarian businesses keen on Vietnamese market
Vietnamese and Hungarian businesses have been urged to take the initiative and explore the opportunities for future collaboration.
Vietnam-Hungary Business Association chairman, Nguyen Quang A, said during their conference in Hanoi on March 5 that opportunities were available even during the current global economic and financial recession.
The business forum was attended by Hungarian firms operating in the fields of information technology, food, logistic services and consultancy.
Mr A sees the 205 Vietnamese businesses that rent space at the AsiaCentre in Budapest as an important step towards fostering ties between the two countries.
He said that in recent years, the two countries’ trade turnover has increased rapidly to hit a record US$100 million in 2008.
Vietnam exported garments, leather footwear, farm products, electronics, arts and handicrafts to Hungary while its main imports included pharmaceuticals and industrial products.
