- 1974: The company was founded, experiencing various names such as Giang Vo Exhibition Location (1975-1978), The Central Exhibition Location (1979-1982), Vietnam's socio-economic achievement exhibition centre (1982-1985), Giang Vo Exhibition Center (1985-1989).

- January 18, 1989: According to the decision No. 06/HDBT of  The cabinet council about establishing Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEFAC).

- May 04, 1995: VEFAC was transferred into state-owned company.

- June 30, 2010: According to the decision of Ministry of culture, sports and tourism about transferring VEFAC into Co., Ltd.

- January 04, 2011:  Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre was renamed Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre Co., Ltd.

- May 06, 2015: The company was equitized and formally became Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre JSC with the chartered capital of VND 1.666 billion.

- November 25, 2015: The company's stocks were accepted to trade on UPCoM with the ticker VEF.

- December 22, 2015: The first trading day of VEF with the closing price at the close of VND 10.200 per stock.
