- Manufacturing medicine, medical and chemical products.

- Retailing medicine, medical tools, cosmetics and hygiene products in specialized stores.

- Wholesaling, importing and exporting medicine, materials and chemicals for production of medication.

- Other specialized technological activities, storage of drugs.

- The First Period (October 1968 - 03 February 1976): General Stock of Medicine was established and called K45 Vinh Quang Medicine Stock, under management of Health Department of Central Area;

- The Second Period (03 February 1976 - 05 June 1985): Ministry of Health decided to establish 1st Class General Medicine Company on Da Nang which was under management of Union of Vietnam Medical Enterprises;

- The Third Period (05 June 1985 - 09 April 1993): 1st Class General Medicine Company was renamed into Central Medicine Company No.3;

- The Forth Period (09 April 1993 - 28 June 2010): Renamed into Central Pharmaceutical Company No.3;

- The Fifth Period (29 June 2010 - 14 October 2014): Transformed into Central Pharmaceutical No.3 Company Limited;

- The Sixth Period (15 October 2014 - Now): Transformed into Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company No.3 on 25 March 2015 with charter capital of VND 17.5 billion;
