- 28 December 2005: Ministry of Industry issued the Decision No.4234/QD-BCN on approving the plan of equitizing and transforming into Northern Coal Trading and Processing One-Member Limited Company into TKV - Northern Coal Trading Joint Stock Company;

- 02 January 2007: Put into operation under the model of a joint stock company with a charter capital of VND25 billion under the business registration certificate No.0103015276 issued by Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment;

- 2009: Renamed as Vinacomin - Northern Coal Trading Joint Stock Company;

- 24 September 2012: Charter capital was raised up to VND50 billion;

- 12 July 2016: Charter capital was raised up to VND100 billion;
