- May 18, 1989: Established as The Central Hydroelectric Construction Company, was established under the Decision No. 447 / BXD-TCLÐ of the Minister of Construction. After that, the Central Hydropower Construction Company was transformed into a state-owned company, Song Da 4 State Company.

- November 15, 2007: Equitized and renamed as Song Da No.4 Joint Stock Company with the initial charter capital of VND75 billion.

- June 25, 2008: Officially traded on Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

- 2010: Increased charter capital to VND103 billion.
