- 28 May 1959: Mechanical Hai Phong Enterprise was established under the Decision No.152/NQ issued by Hai Phong City Adminitrative Committee;
- March 1961: Merged with Shipyard No.2 and renamed as Hai Phong Mechanical Enterprise under the management of Ministry of Transport;
- 28 March 1983: Renamed as Song Cam Shipbuilding Plant under the Decision No.373/QD-GTVT issued by Ministry of Transport;
- 30 July 2007: Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Now Shipbuilding Industry Corporation) issued the Decision No.2349/QD-CNT-DMDN on approving the plan of transforming Song Cam Shipbuilding Plant into Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company;
- 29 April 2008: Put into operation under the model of a joint stock company with a charter capital of VND142,127,940,000 under the business registration certificate No.0203004251;
- 16 November 2010: Charter capital was raised up to VND167,364,780,000;
- 11 January 2012: Charter capital was raised up to VND171,412,780,000;
- 11 August 2012: Charter capital was raised up to VND177,939,260,000;
- 25 August 2014: Charter capital was raised up to VND619,689,260,000;
- 24 January 2017: Became a public company under the Document No.589/UBCK-GSDC issued by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam;
- 25 October 2017: Traded on UPCOM market;
