- In 1875: The predecessor of Saigon Beer was a small brewery founded in Saigon by Mr. Victor Larue, a Frenchman.
- In 1910: Developed into a factory producing beer, alcohol, and soft drinks.
- In September 1927: The factory was merged into the French company BGI.
- On June 01, 1977: Southern Alcohol and Beer Company took over the factory from BGI, forming Saigon Beer Factory.
- In 1993: Saigon Beer Factory became Saigon Beer Company after merging with Saigon Ice Factory, Alcohol and Beer Engineering Factory, and Da Kai Mineral Water Factory.
- On May 06, 2003: Saigon Beer Company took over other companies and established Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (SABECO).
- On May 11, 2004: The corporation changed its operational model to a parent-subsidiary structure.
- On April 17, 2008: Officially converted to a joint stock company model with a charter capital of VND 6,413 billion.
- On December 06, 2016: First trading day on HOSE with a reference price of VND 132,000 per share.
- In November 2023: The company's charter capital reached VND 12,826 billion.
