- 01 June 2012: Power Generation Corporation 3 was established under the Decision No. 3025/QD-BCT of Ministry of Industry and Trade issued.

- 2013: Established Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and Thai Binh Project Manaagement Board.

- 2014: Established EVNGENCO 3 Internal Control Board.

- 2015: Established Mong Duong Thermal Power Company and received Thu Duc Thermal Power Limited Company from EVN.

- 2016: Established EVNGENCO 3 Power Service Company.

- 2017: Established Hoa Binh Thermal Power Company. 

- 21 March 2018: Traded on UPCOM market.

- 27 September 2018: Transformed into Power Generation Joint Stock Corporation 3 with charter capital of VND10,699,695,770,000.
