- 29 April 1995: Vietnam National Shipping Lines  was established in accordance with the Decision No. 250/TTg issued by the Prime Minister;

- 29 September 2006: Vietnam National Shipping Lines was transformed into operation under a model of Mother company - Subsidiaries in accordance with the Decision No. 217/2006/QD-TTg;

- 25 June 2010: Mother company - Vietnam National Shipping Lines  was transformed into an One-Member Limited Company under the State's ownership in accordance with the Decision No. 985/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister;

- 08 October 2018: Traded on the UPCOM market;

- August 18, 2020: Transformed into a Joint Stock Company and Renamed as Vietnam Maritime Corporation.
