- 27 October 1995: Vietnam National Minerals Corporation was established through merging between Vietnam Rare and Precious Minerals Corporation and Minerals Development Corporaiton under the Decision No.1118QD/TCCBDT issued by Ministry of Heavy Industry (now Ministry of Industry and Trade);

- 18 February 2003: Vietnam Gold and Gemstone Corporation was merged into into Vietnam National Minerals Corporation;

- 26 December 2005: Vietnam National Minerals Corporation was renamed as Vinacomin - Minerals Holding Corporation - a subsidiary of Vietnam Coal - Minerals Industries Group;

- 15 June 2010: Put into operation under an one-member limited company model under the Decision No.3169/QD-BCT;

- 23 April 2015: Went IPO at Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) at an average winning bid of VND 10,503 per share;

- 06 October 2015: Put into operation under a joint stock company model with a charter capital of VND 2,000 billion;

- 28 December 2015: Became a public company under the Document No.8010/UBCK-QLPH issued by teh State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC);
