- 1995: Central Metal Company, a member of Vietnam Steel Corporation, was established;
- September 30, 2005: Equitized and changed its name to Central Vietnam Metal Corporation with an initial charter capital of VND 65 billion.
- 2007: Increased charter capital to VND 68.7 billion;
- 2008: Increased charter capital to VND 88.7 billion;
- August 10, 2009: Listed and traded on UPCOM.
- December 15, 2010: Listed and traded on the HNX.
