- On August 28, 2007: Established under the first name -VNS Securities Joint Stock Company, operating under License No. 69/UBCK-GPHĐKD issued by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC).
- On September 13, 2007: Became a depository member of the Viet Nam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation.
- On September 28, 2007: Became a trading member of the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
- On October 17, 2007: Became a trading member of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE).
- On April 16, 2008: Opened Ho Chi Minh branch.
- On December 24, 2009: Approved to participate in online trading at Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE).
- On February 5, 2010: Approved to participate in online trading at Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
- On August 1, 2011: Officially listed shares on Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
- On September 27, 2011: Change the name to Vietnam Investment Securities Joint Stock Company (IVS).
- On December 20, 2016: Increased charter capital to VND 340 billion.

- On July 16, 2021: Changed the name to Guotai Junan Securities (Vietnam).
