- 06 November 2007: CPI signed the joint venture contract with SSA Holding International - Vietnam (SSAHVN);

- 03 June 2008: CPI established Cai Lan Internaltional Container Port Ltd;, Co (CICT) - the joint venture between CPI and SSAHVN;

- 27 July 2012: CPI inaugurated the Port;
