VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited: Appointment of new Chairman

VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited (the "Company" or "VOF"), an AIM-quoted investment company established to target key growth segments within Vietnam, announces that Steve Bates has been appointed the role of Chairman of the Company, effective 1 May 2013. Mr. Bates will replace Bill Vanderfelt, who has retired as Chairman and is leaving the board after over eight years of service to VOF. Bill has been Chairman since 2008.

Incoming Chairman, Steve Bates stated, "We thank Bill for his significant contribution to the Company over the years. He has been involved in the Company since its early days and has been an important influence on good practice as it has grown. He has now decided to retire and the Board wishes him well as he leaves the stage."
