SLS: Explanation for change in operating result in Quarter III/2012
According to the Financial Statement Quarter 3/2012, profit after tax increases by more than 10% year on year. On 03/11/2012 Son La Sugar JSC explained the increase in operating result in Quarter 3/2012 as follows:
- The
sugar output of period 2010-2011 which
was 13,755.65 tons was consumed mainly in Quarter 1 and Quarter 2
(13,141.2 tons), and 598 tons in Quarter 3 with the revenue of VND
21,059,945,285; the cost was VND 23,931,519,725 and the profit after tax was –
VND 2,894,751,601.
- The sugar output of period 2011-2012
which was 29,477.75 tons was consumed
mainly in Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 (26,808.2 tons), and 2,334 tons in Quarter 3
with the revenue of VND 47,044,920,780; the cost was VND 40,649,194,538 and the
profit after tax was – VND 6,395,726,242.
So the profit after tax in Quarter 3/2012 was higher than Quarter 3/2011 by VND
6,395,726,242 due to the raised sugar output of Quarter 3/2012 compared to
Quarter 3/2011 of 1,736 tons.
