SBC: Explanation for business result in Quarter 2/2012

SAIGON BEER TRANSPORTATION JOINT STOCK COMPANY (SABETRAN JSC) has explained the difference in profit between Quarter 2/2012 and Quarter 2/2011:

-         Profit after tax in Quarter 2/2012 was VND6,696,160,009 increasing 948.8% compared to in Quarter 2/2011.

-         From the beginning 2012, price of fuel rose, but from May to June, 2012 gasoline prices went down VND1,800/ liter leading to expense from transport decreased. Therefore, profit in Quarter 2/2012 was higher than in Quarter 2/2011.

-         In 2011, the Vietnam Electricity has temporarily applied a price equal to 90% of the fixed price and 100% of flexible price according to old agreement (Agreement 2010).

-         In 2012, the firm adjusted its revenue according to actual electricity price.

-         Therefore, profit in Quarter 2/2012 was higher than the same period of 2011.
