FDG: Explanation for business result in Q2/2012

Dongthap Trading Corporation (Docimexco) has explained the fluctuation in profit between Quarter 2/2012 and Quarter 2/2011 according to Docimexco’s financial statements (parent company):

-         Loss after tax in Quarter 2/2011: -VND6,375,072,307

-         Profit after tax in Quarter 2/2012: VND1,984,342,523

Reason:

-         Revenue in Quarter 2/2012 was 43% of Quarter 2/2011, but profit in Quarter 2/2012 was higher than in Quarter 2/2011 because:

-         In Quarter 2/2011, input expense was higher than price of selling, but in Quarter 2/2012, input expenses decreased.

-         Exchange rate of USD/VND in quarter 2/2012 was not much fluctuation.

-         Interest expense in Quarter 2/2012 was less than in Quarter 2/2011.

-         General & administration expenses decreased strongly.
