VLF: The parent company explains business results in quarter 2/2012
Vinh Long Cereal And Food Import Export Company (VinhLong Food) explained business results of its parent company in quarter 2/2012 as follows:

Profit
after tax in quarter 2/2012 decreased 13.64% beside quarter 2/2011 because
sales production increased 14.92% but exporting price decreased $26.78/ton
(5.87%), so revenue just increased slightly 0.37%. Besides, income cost of rice
exported in quarter 2/2012 was price at 2011 higher than that in quarter
2/2012. Therefore, cost increased 2.57% and gross profit decreased 33.41%.

Financial
expenses decreased 32.12%, selling expenses decreased 16.31% because
transportation fee decreased and 682,129,124 dongs of other incomes but profit
before tax decreased 840,991,462 dongs (21.32%).
