PDN: Business operation results

Dong Nai Port JSC (HOSE: PDN) explained the fluctuation in business result between Quarter 3/2011 and Quarter 3/2010:

- Palletize output in Quarter 3/2011 increased 44,032 tons compared to Quarter 3/2010 (Quarter 3/2011: 690,492 tons; Quarter 3/2010:646,460 tons)

- Revenue in Quarter 3/2011 increased VND8,401,801,826 compared to Quarter 3/2010, in which: business expenses increased VND7,590,734,148 included: high salary by VND2,740,591,121, high fuel expenses and out-source by VND2,407,682,786, high depreciation expenses by VND1,481,858,109. Financial expenses increased by VND811,067,678 because revaluation of long term loans from foreign currency and interest expenses increased.

- Revenue increased by VND3,618,295,409 but expenses increased by VND8,401,801,826 leading to profit before tax decreased by VND4,783,506,417 (38.47%).
