The Asean Typical Enterprise Award recognised businesses with good performance, improvement and contributions to socio-economic development.

The Asean Famous Trade Mark Award was given to enterprises that can develop their trademark to contribute to regional and international integration and whose products and services have earned the trust of clients.

The Businessman Heart Talent Gold Cup acknowledged business people who excelled at their chosen profession and contributed to social development.

In total, 62 Asean Typical Enterprise Awards, 65 Asean Famous Trade Mark and 46 Businessman Heart Talent Gold Cup awards were handed out. “I'm happy to receive the award. It's a good prize and will encourage the business community to contribute more,” Kanya Mittaphab Company Managing Director Ms Valy Vetsaphong said.

Ms Valy, who is also Acting President of the Lao Young Enterprise Association, added that “The association plans to organise an awards ceremony for Lao businesses to promote and encourage enterprise growth.”

“Lao enterprises have more potential and have contributed a lot to national development, so I think it's good to recognise their achievements.”

“I'm pleased to receive the prize and it encourages me to put more effort into cultivating my education business and making it better,” Managing Director of Panyathip International School Ms Pathana Panyathip Lim said.

The award ceremony, held in Laos for the second year in a row, seeks to promote enterprises in the region, especially Laos and Vietnam. Because of the special relationship between the two countries, trade and investment has increased.

More and more Vietnamese companies have invested in Laos recently, especially in the agriculture sector. The award ceremony has encouraged more Vietnamese business people to visit Laos and explore investment opportunities here.
