APC: Explanation for business result in Q2.2011

An Phu Irradiation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: APC) explained the difference in profit after tax in Quarter II/2011 and Quarter II/2010:

• Profit after tax in Quarter II/2010: VND 4,717,593,801

• Profit after tax in Quarter II/2011: VND 8,360,502,952

Profit after tax in Quarter II/2011 increased 77% from the same period of 2010 because of the following reasons:

• The export of blue dragon fruit in Quarter II/2011 gained fairly highly (239 tons), equivalent to VND16.36 billion in sales, increasing 147 times compared to Quarter II/2010.

• Sales from aquatic irradiation were VND15.89 billion, increasing 1.2 times from the same period of last year.

• Total sales in Quarter II/2011 was VND33,185,317,530, increasing 2.32 times compared to Quarter II/2010 and equivalent to 25.18% of plan 2011.
