BCEL launches new product UnionPay
Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) officially launched a new product "UnionPay" to provide more options to customers nationwide.
The UnionPay is a card can be used more than 110 countries around the world, according to a launching ceremony of UnionPay at the Lao Plaza Hotel in Vientiane Capital on May 25.
The UnionPay was announced by General Managing Director of the BCEL, Mr. Sonesay Sithphasay and Chairman of China's UnoinPay, Mr. Su Ning.
Mr. Sonexay said that the UnionPay has a slogan "domestic card can be used around the world by BCEL."
"The UnionPay's fee will be cheaper than other international cards," he confirmed.
Mr. Sonexay continued that all BCEL's customers who hold currently BCEL's card can be changed into UnionPay with free-of-charge started in July this year.
They can also use trough the UnionPay worldwide because the system will automatically change into those countries currency.
The UnionPay card can be used in more than 110 countries worldwide, especially China and the United States of America, Vice President of China UnionPay Company, Mr. Cai Jianbo said at the press conference on 25 May.
This is a new product of the BCEL in cooperation with the China UnionPay Company Co., Ltd.
The BCEL planned to offer its new product "Credit Card" to customers nationwide near future. The customers will be able to use the credit card despite any money in account, Mr. Sonexay added.
