NKG: Explanation for business result Q4/2010

Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company (HOSE: NKG) explained reasons causing the fluctuation in business result between Quarter 4/2010 and Quarter 4/2009:

• Profit before tax in Quarter 4/2010 was VND13,228,151,744, decreasing by VND23,379,708,791 (Equivalent to 63.8%) compared to the same period of 2009 because of the following reasons:

• In the last months of 2010, the exchange rate between USD and VND increased sharply and made the prices of imported materials rise strongly.

• Besides, the bank loan interests were up and made the financial expense increase.

• However, although profit in Quarter 4/2010 decreased, profit before tax in the whole year 2010 was VND129 billion, equal to 170% of profit before tax in 2009.
