Ha Long ship handed over to Israeli partner

The Ha Long Shipbuilding Company (Under the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Vinashin) on March 25 handed over a large cargo ship named Violet Ace to its Israeli partner.

Violet Ace, with a capacity of 4,900 automobiles, was the second ship built under the contract signed between the company and Ray Shipping Group of Israel.

The 185-metre long and 32-metre wide ship with a speed of 19.8 sea miles/hour was designed by the Italian Naval Progetti Design Institute, and approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) Register of Shipping of Norway.

It includes 13 decks, among them 11 decks used for storing automobiles, one for living and one of cabins. The ship was also designed with auxiliary items aboard meeting the standard of a luxurious hotel.

Previously, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company transferred a 53,000 DWTship to another partner in Israel. These sales represent the company’s ability in building ships to satisfy the demand of both domestic and foreign customers.
