LSX management meets
Lao Securities and Securities Exchange Management Committee met on Wednesday to consider the regulation on managing foreign investors who buy and sell stocks in the Lao PDR.
The meeting also evaluated stock transactions in the past weeks and the registration of the Electricite du Laos (EDL) Gen and the Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) with the Lao Securities Exchange and report on Lao Securities Exchange and securities management in 2010.
Held at the premises of the Bank of the Lao PDR in Vientiane Capital, the meeting was chaired by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad.
This meeting is important for the function of the committee on managing securities and securities market, securities transaction in the Lao Securities Exchange and effective performance in the future, said Mr. Somsavat.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister also appreciated the securities committee, and relevant sectors on their physical and mental efforts in opening the securities exchange on October 10 last year.
So far two companies BCEL and EDL Gen have registered with the Lao Securities Exchange.
The Lao Securities Exchange has approved the establishment of two securities companies including Lane Xang Securities Public and BCEL-Krungthai Securities.
