VNE: Explanation for a late adjustment in audited FS of H1/2010

Vietnam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Corporation (HoSE: VNE) has explained a late adjustment in audited financial statements of 06 months 2010 as follows:

* VNECO had a mistake in announcing late an adjustment of audited firm on September 10, 2010.

* After issuing audited financial statements in 06 months 2010 of the parent company, the audited firm found out a mistake in recording financial incomes and increases of investments in subsidiaries because of receiving decisions of paying dividend in shares. The adjustment made decreased 731,106,205 dongs of profit after tax. Therefore, profit after tax of the parent company in quarter 2/2010 after the adjustment was 10,079,703,479 dongs.
