Hanoi to host CG Meeting in December
The Consultative Group Meeting will be held in Hanoi on December 7-8 discussing macro-economic stability and sustainable development, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
The seminar will discuss priority issues including strategies for sustainable development and the government’s policies to cope with climate change.
Delegates will discuss social security, poverty reduction and future partnership when Vietnam joins average income nations. The marco-economic situation this year and orientations in 2011, the efficiency of operations in the state sector, public administration, anti-corruption and strategies for social protection will also be on the table.
Under the CG meeting, the MPI will organize the Vietnam Business Forum to build a business environment which will help enterprises make profit, attract investment and promote the economic growth rate in Vietnam
On the sidelines of the CG meeting, there will be two other dominant issues including experiences of average incomes and the national competitive edge which will be presented by representatives from Malaysia and Singapore.
Participants in the annual event include international donors and economic experts.
