Viet Nam to export 2 million tonnes of rice during Q4
Rice exporters are expected to export 2 million tonnes of rice during this quarter because they have signed export contracts to deliver 3 million tonnes of rice, reported the Viet Nam Food Association (VFA).
Demand for Vietnamese rice rose on the world market due to an increase in demand, the association reported.
The Government have been negotiating export contracts with several countries, including Cuba, the Philippines and Indonesia.
During the first nine months, the country exported 5.55 million tonnes of rice, an increase of 12 per cent over the same period of last year, earning US$2.56 billion.
