Trade deficit still under control
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) reported that despite this fact, economic groups, corporations, and businesses should boost industrial production and propose specific measures to iron out snags in business production for export in an effort to control the trade deficit.
The MoIT said it is working closely with the relevant agencies to create a favourable environment for businesses to promote production, export-import and other trade activities and cooperation in international economic integration.
Meanwhile, the consumer index price (CPI) has been put on hold in recent months. CPI in August rose barely 0.23 percent over the level recorded in July, keeping CPI in the past eight months at 5.07 percent. This shows that many provinces and cities have made great efforts to stabilise prices on the domestic market.
However, the rising price of input materials on the global market along with epidemics and natural disasters are likely to bring pressure on domestic prices.
