QHD: Explanation for the change of over 5% in operating result in QII- 2010
According to the Financial Statement Quarter II/2009, net income is decrease compared to Quarter II/2009. Viet - Duc Welding Electrode Joint Stock Company explained the decrease in operating result in QII/ 2010 as follows:
- Revenue decreased: Due to the demand on welding products decreased, especially demand from the ship building industry. Besides, because of high competition pressure, when the price of raw materials went up (In March, April of 2010), the company still have to reduce the price or give out promotion.
- Expenses increased: As at the end of 2009, QHD has invested in a new welding rod factory, therefore, the capital needs increased, expense has been went up accordingly. Besides, depreciation expenses was up but the number of output is reduced, hence, fixed expenses increased.
