PVN calls for Japanese investment

Almost 400 Japanese businesses, financial organisations and banks are expected to attend an investment promotion conference in Tokyo from June 20-25, says the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

At the conference, jointly held by PVN, The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry, PVN will give presentations on 30 projects including the gas and petrol-chemical industry, thermal power plant construction and real estate to attract Japanese businesses.

PVN Deputy Director General Nguyen Tien Dung said that the group decided to hold this conference in Japan because this is a huge potential market and Japanese investors have the technological and financial ability to take advantage of opportunities in Vietnam.

Although Japanese investors are quite hard to please, they will do their best to make sure their projects are successful once they decide to invest, said Dung.

PVN will continue with its investment promotions in the Republic of Korea, the US, the Middle East, and Russia.
