HCM City’s imports and exports above US$12 billion

Ho Chi Minh City’s imports and exports for the first quarter of this year has exceeded US$12 billion, said the City’s Customs Department.

The city earned more than US$4.2 billion from exports of rubber, coffee and rice and US$7.8 billion from imports of garment and textile, electronics and food.

The customs offices in Ho Chi Minh City also collected VND10.5 trillion of import and export taxes, accounting for 22 percent of this year’s target.
