Nghe An offers incentives to investors

The central province of Nghe An will offer more incentives to attract domestic and foreign businesses, provincial leaders vowed at a meeting with investors on February 27.

They said in 2010 Nghe An will continue to iron out snags to improve its investment environment, including further streamlining administrative procedures and introducing synchronous solutions to make the locality an attractive investment destination.

In 2009, Nghe An attracted 64 projects capitalised at VND13.5 trillion, which helped accelerate economic restructuring, increase budget revenues and generate more jobs for local people.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung praised the province’s socio-economic achievements last year and stressed that businesses form the core of the country’s Renewal process.

He noted that many businesses have overcome difficulties and made a profit, and their investment projects have made a significant contribution to local development.

He encouraged provincial authorities to create favourable conditions for businesses to operate efficiently in the locality.
