Phu Yen has great potential for development, say foreign diplomats

A delegation of diplomats of 13 countries and representatives of UNESCO paid a working visit to the south-central province of Phu Yen on January 30.

The provincial authority introduced guests to their investment promotion policies and the current situation of local economic development, with 10 projects still waiting for investment.

Foreign diplomats said that Phu Yen has great potential for strong and sustainable economic development. They agreed to serve as bridges between investors in their countries who are seeking investment and business opportunities in the province.

UNESCO’s representative Katherine Muller-Marin expressed her interest in the way Phu Yen develops its economy while preserving cultural identities and heritages.

Finnish Ambassador Pekka Hyvonen expressed keen interest in the province’s ecology, sustainable forest development strategy skilled workers training.

According to Deputy Ambassador of China Zhai Leiming, Phu Yen may be a new attractive destination for Chinese tourists.
