Lao officials complete training in stock market
(KPL) - More than 80 trainees received certificates from the Lao Central Bank after completing a training course on upgrading the basic knowledge on stock market management on 22 December, Vientiane Capital.
The Bank of the Lao PDR in collaboration with the Stock Market of Thailand held this training course under the Vocational Skills on Stock Business Programme for Lao officials.
The certificates were presented by the Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR, Dr Phouphet Khamphounvong, who is also Deputy-President of the Lao Stock Market and Stock Management Committee.
The trainees have studied on the theory of stock market management, especially the use of device for analysing investment and financial market management, the basic knowledge of stock evaluation and other issues related to basic knowledge of stock market.
The laws on enterprise accounting, bankruptcy of enterprise, contract security and decree on money laundering were also presented to trainees.
Dr Phouphet said that the Central Bank would further provide similar training courses to officials till February 2010 and conduct a stock evaluation till June 2010.
He also said that the trainees of private companies and sector would be trained in stock market in Thailand.
