EVN produces 77% of power sold in Vietnam
The Electricity Group of Vietnam (EVN) has said it produced a total of 52.2 billion kWh and bought 2.3 billion kWh of power from China and 24.7 billion kWh of power from non-EVN power plants in the last 11 months to serve domestic consumption.
The group also reported that it sold nearly 67.7 billion KW of commercial power to the people for daily use and production in the reviewed period.
EVN has forecast that the national power grid will generate about 251 million KW a day in December.
The 500 kV north-south power line will continue to transmit power from the south to serve the north, as northern hydro-electric power plants are in a seasonal phase of storing water in their reservoirs for irrigating the winter-spring crops, as well as for generating power for the nation during the dry season in 2010.
