Vietnam, Japan to hold supporting industry exhibition
Nearly 120 Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises are expected to participate in the third Vietnamese-Japanese exhibition on supporting industries, scheduled to be held in Hanoi on Nov. 12-13.
The exhibition will help domestic enterprises to expand their business contacts and acquire advanced technologies from their Japanese partners, said Deputy Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotions Department (Vietrade) Ta Hoang Linh at a press briefing on Nov. 3.
Chief Representative of the Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hiroyuki Moribe said that the exhibition is open to all enterprises, organisations and individuals who wish to work with Japanese businesses operating in Vietnam and Hong Kong as well as Japan.
The event will link up both Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises currently operating in Vietnam, as well as Japanese investors who normally do their business in regional countries, he added.
Furthermore, the exhibition will help to increase the quality of Vietnamese goods thanks to the increasing use of domestic materials, which will bolster exports to the Japanese market, he said.
Last but not least, it will give policy makers a clearer view of Vietnamese supporting industries so they can come up with the best way forward, said the official.
Components and accessories used in the making of automobiles, motorbikes, and in the electricity, electronics, engineering and chemicals industries will also be on display at the event.
A seminar on policies to promote Vietnam ’s supporting industries will take place during the two-day event, which is being jointly held by JETRO and Vietrade.
