Vietnam - Argentina’s second largest soy flour importer

Vietnam has emerged as the second largest importer of soy flour from Argentina , according to the National Food Safety and Quality Service of Argentina (SENASA).

In the first nine months of this year, Vietnam bought 932,678 tonnes valued at 374.4 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 160 percent and 241 percent, respectively.

In the reviewed period, Indonesia ranked first in soy flour imports from Argentina with 1.1 million tonnes valued at 414.6 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 60 and 91 percent respectively.

Argentina is the world’s third largest exporter of soya beans and the top exporter of soy flour and oil.

Soya beans and products are major foreign currency earners for the South American country.
