Final stage of regional golf tour to be held in Hanoi

The final stage of the Southeast Asian golf tournament, Mercedes-Benz Masters Vietnam, will be held in Hanoi next month.

The November 11-14 competition at the Kings Island Golf Club in Hanoi’s Son Tay is of great regional importance. It is akin to the final of the contest because only the best 60 golfers of this year are entitled to participate in it.

The German car maker is the main sponsor of the tournament, which takes place in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

As the host of the final stage, Vietnam will have four amateur golfers Nguyen Thai Duong, Nguyen Van Thong, Trinh Van Tho and Vo Ta Thuy given a wild card at the US$80,000 event.

Additionally, the player who scores a hole-in-one will win a GLK 4MATIC Mercedes worth almost $80,000.
