Exporting first shipment of steam furnaces to Brazil
The first shipment of 1,000 tonnes of steam furnaces, worth US$1.9 million, left a specialised port in the Dung Quat economic zone, central Quang Ngai province, for Brazil on September 26.
The furnaces were made by Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina) under the EDP-Brazil project, using over 4,200 tonnes of materials imported from abroad.
From now until July 2010, Doosan Vina is planning to manufacture 6,200 tonnes of steam furnaces to fulfill Brazil’s order.
