China starts building two expressways to Vietnam: Report
China started construction Friday on two freeways linking the southern province of Guangxi to Vietnam at a cost of 12.8 billion yuan (US$1.9 billion), the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
One road will connect Baise city with Jingxi county on the border, and the other will link Jingxi with another border county, Napo, Xinhua said Friday, citing Yu Changwen, chief executive officer of the Guangxi Communications Investment Group Co. Both roads will connect to Longbang port, it said.
