Vietnamese business in post-crisis period under discussion
A seminar on opportunities for Vietnamese businesses in the post- crisis period was held in Hanoi on August 21 by the Human Resources Development Joint Stock Company PTI.
At the seminar, Vietnamese economic experts and entrepreneurs discussed dangers and opportunities for businesses in the crisis and post-crisis period to devise measures to make the best of opportunities and minimize dangers.
Apart from difficulties and challenges, the economic downturn also provides new opportunities for businesses to enhance economic restructuring and sharpen their competitiveness.
The Vietnamese economy has great potential for higher growth thanks to its abundant workforce and low impacts from the economic downturn on businesses, which did not depend too much on bank loans.
Experts said that the effectively untapped large domestic market is Vietnam’s biggest advantage in this period.
They suggested that Vietnamese businesses seize every opportunity to upgrade their technologies, increase the quality of human resources and diversify products with big export earnings and high growth rates in traditional markets.
In addition, businesses need to enhance links with other partners to corner the domestic market by boosting domestic production and consumption and introducing lower-cost products than equivalent imported ones.
