SMC: Explanation for business result in Q2/09

SMC Investment - Trading Joint Stock Company (SMC) has explained business result in Q2/09 as follows:

- In Q2/09, there was subsidy of interest rate from the government, the steel industry has gained signs of recovery and better operation.

- The company had stable market share and continued to expand market, thus it increased consumption output (rising more than 51.63% compared to that in Q1/09). This led to increase of sales and gross profit

- The company cut costs.

In Q3/09, the company expects to run well and maintain the good and effective growth.
