Saigon Newport opens third inland clearance depot
The Saigon Newport Company, a branch of the Ministry of Defense, on Thursday opened its third inland clearance depot (ICD) in Bien Hoa Town, Dong Nai Province with a total investment of US$60 million.
Spanning over 80 hectares, the ICD will be able to accommodate 10 million tons of goods a year, and will comprise three main areas including warehouses, offices, a container yard and custom building area.

During a ceremony to launch the new ICD, Hien said Tan Cang Long Binh Joint Stock Company would invest to expand its activities and provide further services that would support related businesses.
Saigon Newport Company provides services for 64 shipping groups worldwide and operates the Tan Cang (Newport), Cai Mep, and Cat Lai sea ports in Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, and two other ICDs in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.
