PPC: Business result in July 2009

Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company (PLPC) has announced the business result in July 2009 as follows:

1. Business activities have been stable and some machines were due for an overhaul. However, the company has not suspended the machines to maintain because of demands of the national electricity system. Schedule maintenance will postpone to quarter 3/2009.

Business result in July 2009 (excluded the profit determination from foreign exchange difference) as follows:

* Total revenue in July 2009                       : VND380,434.53 billion

* Total expenses in July 2009                    : VND300,287.64 billion

* Total profit before tax                              : VND80,146.89 billion

2. Total 2009 profit accumulated to July 31, 2009: VND787,044.89 billion

3. Related information:

The liabilities from foreign currencies at July 31, 2009 was JPY35.278 billion

VND/JPY rate at August 12, 2009 was 174.35, decreased VND10.61 in comparison with that at December 31, 2008.

According to Government regulation, foreign exchange difference is defined at the time when the company reports the yearly financial statements. Therefore, the company has not counted financial income from the foreign exchange difference.
