HPG: Business result in the first 7 months 2009
Hoa Phat group Joint Stock Company has informed of business result in the first 7 months 2009 as follows:
* Profit in July 2009 was VND130 billion.
* In the first 7 months 2009, Hoa Phat Group has achieved VND820 billion, reaching 89% of the after-tax profit plan. Sales was VND4,415 billion, reaching 62% of the year plan.
* There were many projects completed and put into operation in July such as 110/6kv transformer stations of the Hoa Phat Integrated Steel Complex and Cement Plant; the first 40 ovens of Coke Factory (under the Hoa Phat Energy Company) with capacity of 350,000 tons per year in phase 1 for production preparation.
* The core business lines of Hoa Phat have been grown well. The Hoa Phat steel has still kept the stable market share with the last month sales of 30,000 tons, exceeding 7% of the plan. Sales of stone, sand, ore crushing screening line increased 20% in July compared to that in the same period last year.
* In addition, Hoa Phat Group has just signed the sponsor contract with VTC (Vietnam MultiMedia Corporation) to officially broadcast the Premier League for the term of 2009-2010. This is the big chance for Hoa Phat to advertise and promote its brandname in the market.
