6 billion USD urban area under construction

Nhon Trach Investment Joint Stock Company on August 16 broke the ground on the Dong Sai Gon urban area in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Nai.

The urban area project has an investment capital of US$6 billion, of which US$220 million will be used to build its infrastructure.

The project includes constructionsnof transport roads, model houses, green parks and lakes, covering an area of 942 ha in the centre of Nhon Trach district which boasts a number of main highways and roads of southeastern Vietnam.

Director of the Nhon Trach Investment Joint Stock Company Nguyen Hieu Loc said his company has issued five-year investment bonds and called for investments from existing shareholders to collect capital for the project.

The Global Petro Commercial Joint Stock Bank has bought one-trillion-VND bond of the company.

The construction work is scheduled for completion within 10-15 years.
